Long SMBLZ

I’m thinking long today – so I’m going to start pimping bullish candidates. So, I guess Mole wins today’s bulltard of the day award ;-)

I set my alert for 30.6 on AVP.

Trying to get a fill now on BX – stop at 12.5ish.

Michael is gushing over RINO – I personally will wait for 27 before I enter. I’m probably too perfectionist on that one but I think it can drop a wee bit more.

Probably not going to happen but if CPB goes to 32 I’m game for a long. Right now it’s kind of hanging in mid air and I don’t feel comfortable taking a position yet.

CSCO – I’m not super hot on this one plus the ATR is short of 2%. I got a tight stop on this one in case it breaks – the spreads are penny wise so easy to get in/out.

DD – but wait for it – I think it’s good at 31.4ish.

FCX moves too slow for me but I’m posting it because I like the pattern.

GPS at 20.2ish.

I know you’re going to hate me for this one – MS but with a tight stop in case banks decide to go to shit.

I must be crazy – NEM long – it’s retraced quite a bit. If it goes to 50 I’m out. Again, tight stop.

PBR has taken it up the rear in the past week – a bounce here is possible.

ATR sucks on PEP but damn – what a move! Might be a good long here if you’re a dare devil ;-)

I hate this company but TWX might make a good long at 28.5.

Donated by Anna – and I agree. V is a big fat pig and needs to be shorted right now.

Last but not least – XOM – very nice support line here but keep a generous stop if you can afford it.

Wow, that was a lot of work – the short setups look so much nicer these days…

    No, I don't think you bought too soon. Incorrectly, I assumed that you hadn't already bought but were about to. If I were not already long but were considering going long, I would do it based on the condition that the price level I showed gets taken out because that's where short sellers may buy to cover and so a little short squeeze may happen there. So, don't let my comment worry you.

    Edit: quite the rise for Euro off today's low. 80-pips.

    That reminds me. TD TA says that EUR daily could possibly re-trace back to around 1.4576 (no, not today or in a day) in order to continue the down trend - otherwise, the down trend will end. That is a possible new roof on EUR strength.
  • I have another slightly descending shorter term (120 min) trendline that is currently at 1.46. If EURUSD ends up rallying it would fit perfectly with the 1.457 targets (trendline declines .01 in 5 days).

    Have to leave now otherwise I'd post a chart but I am in the same boat - either this was the large correction needed to resume primary trend or primary trend has changed (50dma pointing down now which is the first confirmation, however its only one of many)

    Just be careful with V- it's got it's own thing going as it gets bought by S&P funds today. There's a ton of people who got in front of that trade providing additional rampage. The forced buying is at the close. I'm looking to short it afterhours or Mond morn.

  • Hey, it looks as we had, on TNA:gold, a 5 wave impulse down and A of 2, 37 should be B of 2, 45 C of 2... then we should drop hard TNA will be a nice short at 45

    I started by just looking at the rodent bands, but the wave count is very clean

    Good point to go short ES with SPX > 1100.25; stop at above 1101.50 (SPX) and target SPX=1095. I guess you take off 4.50 or so to get the ESH0 figures.

    The ESH0 chart shows going short around 1096.75 with stop above at 1097.50 and target at 1089.75.

    I guess both are valid plays - just different charts and underlying. My feeling is that a short based on the SPX numbers is probably true-er since I don't think that ES is driving SPX today - rather the other way around.

    Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.
    I had 13 contracts (puts) on the QIDs. In TOS I'm looking at active trader and when I moved my sell order down a notch. The ask qty showed 13, then jumped to 24. When I moved it back up a notch, the ask qty went to zero. It looked like someone (or a computer) was adding another 11 contracts at the ask but only when my order was there. What gives?

    Sir mole - after looking at those two charts, I know why I am an apprentice and you guys are pros. My time lines are much longer than the average scalper here and when I looked at the two stocks on my daily and weekly charts I said to myself, no way. On a daily basis they are getting to oversold and maybe due for a bounce. Appreciate the suggestions and knowledge though as it helps me to think outside the box.
