Over the years I slowly shifted away from using TOS/Prophet charts toward NinjaTrader as I am able to enjoy coding my tools in an object oriented fashion. Scripting languages have always been the bane of my existence and although they can be great for prototyping you will run into limitations pretty quickly if you’re trying to do anything a bit more sophisticated. In addition consumer oriented trading platforms also suffer from an inherent problem which is that you simply cannot rely on a data feed that is either filtered or buffered.

Equities are holding pretty strong after yesterday’s FOMC tea leaf interpretation panic stop run. I don’t assume that many of you are still holding any long positions but if you are then I suggest you simply continue to trail and let things run their course. On the setup side I’m seeing very little of interest today. The two exceptions:

GBP/CAD is a long here – my stop has been placed below that spike low on the hourly. I very much like the configuration on the daily panel as I’m seeing plenty of support below.

We got movement people! And obviously I’m not talking about equities where we’re still spasmodically bouncing around in the same six month trading range. Booooring! Unless of course you are the evil lair’s official Swing Slayer and that coveted title is already taken by Skynard. You will have to defeat him first and then send me one of his digits to assume his position. It also helps if you either have at least one dragon or an army of White Walkers at your disposal. Either that or just send me money – I am surprisingly corruptible.
