Squeezy Wednesday Wrap Up

by MoleOctober 17, 2012

Well, I promised you guys a little surprise and here it is. After a six month break I am brining back the video wrap up posts! As some of you may recall – one aspect of making the long trip to Los Angeles was to retrieve some of my equipment – and among other things that included my Windows setup which contained all my video stuff. I know – silly me – I just love virtualdub and avisynth – I’m an old dog!

I don’t think I could have picked a better session for this – great signals all along on the Zero Lite and Mole indicator side. Just play it and read the comments – if you’re a Zero noob then I bet you will enjoy these wrap ups as they teach you how to best leverage the signals. The daily interplay between the Bollingers, VWAP, the Zero signal, and the Mole scalp signals will give you an entirely new perspective on the tape. Great tool in your war chest no matter if you’re a scalper, a swing trader, day trader, or just someone looking to get a good entry for a medium term trade.

There will be more forthcoming, so enjoy! Okay, I’m really going to bed now – as you can imagine I have some beauty sleep to catch up with.

The future is now – so don’t bring a knife to a raygun fight. If you are interested in becoming a Zero subscriber then don’t waste time and sign up here. A Zero subscription comes with full access to all Gold posts, so you actually get double the bang for your buck.

Cheers,

Geronimo 0-2, both stop-outs. Glad I didn’t play it; I figured out that Geronimo is not up to date, can’t handle this tape, and often goes into trades right at lunchtime in NY, when participation dries up.

Well, we had great periods recently and then there are bad periods. Now that I have my setup back I will be able to do a decent backtest and report on the stats again. Stay tuned.

BTW, I do have signals that I wanted to investigate and add to Geronimo. Once I got my big display on Friday I’ll probably spend some time on this over the weekend.

    wooHoo!
a movie, where did I put my popcorn?

It’ll have to be on the house starting in Nov. I have spent way too much and I all I get is losses.

You don’t seem to be taking all the entries – sounds like a smart idea on a bad day but I’m sure you missed out on good days as well.

xau/usd is really tight. Looks like it will get wild. but if 1753 is not taken I suppose the run is over?

    GC 100 hr breach

  • Justin Kozlowski

Im starting to look at these 100hr trades and am very curious how you guys and/or Mole treats them.  Do you need a close above to enter? If so where is your stop?  How many times will you get stopped out before you say enough and refuse to take the entry?

The reason I ask is because its very easy after the fact to put an arrow on a chart where the ideal entry would be but experience tells me a 100hr breach can happen multiple times before the real move.

I fully understand this is an art and not science but often times I try executing these trades intraday and get chopped up only to see hours later a post by Mole saying how obvious of an entry it was if the trade ends up being profitable.

    Thanks!

    Mole-

Would you please do a post (maybe a weekend one) on position sizing.  How do you enter a long term(monthly/weekly), medium term (daily), or short term (100hr) trade? Do you size them differently?  How do you add?  When you say lottery tickets what percentage of your initial size does that mean?  Does a winning or losing streak alter your entry size?

I understand everyone has a different amount of capital available but you could surely explain things so that it is applicable to any account size.

    Thanks so much!

Alright, since I missed some signals, let’s talk about raw Geronimo numbers. YTD, minus Jun, Jul and Aug, which I didn’t subscibe to, my numbers show 127 wins  and 145 losses for a loss of $2187.50 NOT COUNTING COMMISSIONS. Stainless steel rat my arse. More like this was a stone cold stainless steel BEAT-DOWN by the market, like the MOLE PEOPLE maybe. The MORLOCKS. Go rent the movie, Little Mole Peep. You didn’t keep up with the changes going on.

  • Tronacate

I’m in GC for the long haul right now……my entry is so good I probably wouldn’t get out until 1720…….these daily swings I’ll just ride out…….just curious to see if the 100hr breach brings a major move.

Let’s not forget Evil Speculator has been around for a while – we covered this kind of stuff repeatedly – here’s one:

AUDJPY has been a rocket, time for a short it seems.

    Based on what?

It’s retracement level and has put in a lower high on the daily.

clearly obvious now at this rate this will not end very well for those entering late. Unfortunately, last night my 103.50 was triggered causing me not to have enough for my 104 to triggered. I guess I have to deal with it for the moment. Anyhow this one will be treated as a flagship.

VZ estimates off. My question, is this a supply issue or a demand issue? If the first, BTD.

Something to think about when setting stops, is to make sure you are outside the average true range for the time frame you are going to trade.  If your stop is inside the normal chop, you’ll chop up your account.  If the ATR is bigger than you like, then you should consider smaller position size.

This is something it took me a while to figure out.
