Monday Morning Briefing

Welcome to our morning briefing. Here we are reviewing short term setups ahead of the NYSE opening bell. If you are a scalper or swing trader then these setups may be of interest to you. As usual keep in mind that these are short term setups although they could be used as early entries for more longer term positions.

Courtesy of some wild gyriations last Friday the short term panels are completely useless at the moment. However the daily tells us that we are pinned just below the long trigger of ES 1660. It’s permissible to be short here until we clear this long inflection point – in between we’re talking 30 handles of limbo until ES 1630 below which I think the bulls would be in trouble.

The better setup this morning however is on the NQ as it’s kissing a horizontal brick wall at 3145 – a few more ticks higher and we’re off to the races. Shorts right here are cheap with a stop just ticks away. On the hourly there’s a new NLBL at NQ 3145.5 – that should be our best friend in the next five hours.
