Yesterday I proposed a long trade on cocoa (or NIB as an alternative ETF) as we had already dropped near that 2154 NLBL. Well, today cocoa dropped through it once more and is now holding the 2155 mark. Perfect spot to get positioned – either way I may add. I personally would be long here until my stop (see the chart) is being touched.

A word to the wise: It may take a few attempts here – bottoming patterns on the futures side can be rather tumultuous and it’s not uncommon to get stopped out a few times on technically perfect setups until things finally resolve upward. So don’t go all in here – rather take on a small position and then pyramid yourself up. Bernie’s Pyramid Calculator (BMP) should be helpful in making this less mathematically challenging.
