Welcome to our morning briefing. Here we are reviewing short term setups ahead of the NYSE opening bell. If you are a scalper or swing trader then these setups may be of interest to you. As usual keep in mind that these are short term setups although they could be used as early entries for more longer term positions.
The Dow futures at the 100-hour right before the GDP and jobless claims at 8:30am will probably trigger a bit of volatility – be cautious and prepared for whipsaw.
Similar configuration in the spoos – by the way and just for the record: any long positions are short term and do not affect our daily setup which remains short until the stop has been touched.
Dollar on the rise again and near its 100-hour SMA. It’s been stomped on quite a bit in the past few days and I expect a bit of activity at the SMA, most likely near the NYSE open.
