Welcome to our morning briefing. Here we are reviewing short term setups ahead of the NYSE opening bell. If you are a scalper or swing trader then these setups may be of interest to you. As usual keep in mind that these are short term setups although they could be used as early entries for more longer term positions.

Bonds are looking interesting this morning – the ZB is kissing its 25-hour SMA plus there’s a NLBL right now, giving us sufficient context for an entry. I’ll be long here above the SMA (about 132’09) and short below the NLBL (about 132’07).

AUD/NZD could go either way here and I like the confluence of resistance near 1.1375. I want to be long above that cluster of NLBLs and short below the 25-hour SMA. In between you can also play the swings – all depends on your style. If this setup does not pan out then look for the 25-hour to meet the 100-hour SMA in a few hours – that could be a good inflection point for a ST trade.
