    Sweet car. :)

Enjoy McHugh, but please consider signing up for his newsletter, it is worth the price. I saw that Tim Knight mentioned him the other day, I think he might subscribe to his newsletter.

  • JoeThePlumber

Thanks for sharing his news letter. He's calling for a big move up in silver. I had been thinking of buying some SLV shares recently myself, looks to be a pretty low risk trade.

  • gagelle

    Thanks, toad37, really interesting site.

  • balljet

Berk and Mole… I am really curious to know where you see the wave count at, or do we need to wait for a definitive break in the apparent impasse we are now at?

    Keep up the good work!!

  • molecool

Berk is doing the weekend update – he usually does it Sunday evening.

  • molecool

Please do not post commercial services here, thanks.

  • toad37

Sorry Mole. Didn't mean it that way.

  • molecool

I know – don't want to be an ass about it. We don't mind links to other sites, but they have to be completely free (no added services or free lure ins). Thanks for being a sport about it.

Toad, do you ever short stocks at the 200 day? UNP is very close to 69.5 = 200 day.
I think it's too early in the bear market to give UNP a green light and put it in the bull column. ( above the 200 is bullish)

  • toad37

You bet Mole, I totally understand.

  • toad37

Zstock, as a fairly new trader (not new to the market though) I have yet to employ that approach yet. I appreciate you pointing this out. In your experience has that been an overall successful set-up? I'll definetly put it on my radar this week! Thanks

  • molecool

Looks to me as if it could go up a bit more and then bounce off the 200. UNP seems to be highly correlated to the SPX, so I would watch for market reversals.

  • toad37

For those of you who follow Moo on SoH, you definetly want to read Phantom of the Pits. You can download it free. Just Google it. Very much worth the time to read it IMO.

  • mimi66

I was about to ask about SLV and I saw your post….what newsletter?

I am thinking about SLV below 9.

  • http://z-stock.blogspot.com/ zstock

Yeah Toad, it will work for an overnight at that 69.5 price imo., but Molecool is right too. UNP has enough weight to market investors to eventually go above the 200 day.
I'm banking that it fails at it's first attempt.

  • ZigZag

Yes, below 9 is what I think too..My support and resistance program has SLV at R1=$10.05 and S1=$8.62. I would be a buyer at around $8.62

Awesome – thanks for that info. toad37

Mole do you get the EWT Global Monthly Update? You better rush down to the next Equity Bull Market – NZ. The writer feels that the NZ market is about to outperform the ASX. That's interesting considering the recently retired Chair of the ASX called the NZX irrelevant in the grand scheme of Asian Markets. Sounds like the type of comment you get at a market bottom for the ASX and a Bear continuation for the ASX. How appropriate. Link to article:

  • molecool

I'd be banking on that failed attempt as well, especially if we see the market making a turn this week.

  • molecool

Yes, I get most of their reports – after all I'm an EWT addict :-)

BTW, why do you think I want to move to New Zealand? Not just better equity values, much higher dividends, better currency, etc. but also self-sustaining infrastructure, great people, beautiful landscape. Can't wait to pitch my tent there (in a non-naughty way – hehe).

  • molecool

That link is broken – can you try to shorten it with tinyurl.com?

  • http://www.hervey-bay-holiday.com kea11

Sweet as – I'm biased as I was born in a place called Pahiatua and after 48 years moved to Australia. Have been here for two years and now seriously miss my shaky isles. Love the weather here in Queensland but there's something to be said for Emerald green and snow. Also it's easier to trade the close in NZ as the US markets close at 9am NZ daylight saving time whereas here they close at 6am. btw the link worked for me – I opened in a new tab. Also nothing wrong with pitching a tent in a “evil” way. I'm also a EWT addict they have been good for my bank account.

  • http://www.hervey-bay-holiday.com kea11

You're right – I only just searched it and found it today – how bizarre – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfJe8hQ8ha0 this links to a great NZ hit for OMC (Should be OHW for One Hit wonder) still – a great song to bring back the summertime memories.
See what I can do about the link.

Molecool, i was hoping you can lend me some of your wisdom. I am having difficulty finding a balance between holding profitable positions until a stop is broken, profit taking, and trusting hunches. After reading a few books on trading (currently, reminiscenses of a stock operator), i realize that rules when it comes to handling these situations often conflict themselves. I was wondering what you have found to be good rules of thumb from your experience…

i made a few dollars on a couple of calls i bought since 10/28 but as i saw the daily charts on many index ETFs and in my holdings hitting good price and moving average resistance, i decided it was best to sell 1/2 of them. Now i am holding onto 1/2 puts on the indexes and 1/2 calls on a couple of stocks…do you think i am positions correctly or should i have just blindly held onto my calls until they are technically reversing down again by breaching my stops? i've been debating this and would like your insight. thanks…

Another silver fund is DBS, I've read where it's linked to actual futures contracts and has a more secured backing. The bad part is it's pretty thinly traded compared to SLV.

  • JoeThePlumber

Take a look at the news headlines on Bloomberg. This is what Karl Derringer was warning about in the video posted here a few days ago. He said to look at the Asian, European and Eastern European debt problems because the inevitable collapse of their financial systems will pull down the American economy.

Okay, I just flipped through it and it is one sanctimonious POS. Whenever you come across someone peddling 'secret knowledge' and doing it anonymously – RUN!

The truth is out there and it is in clear sight. Problem most people go for the hype and never bother to look at what's right in front of them. EvilSpeculator is an attempt to do away with those sorts and present a clear and tested approach to market analysis and trading.
