Intra-day Update: Could it be…

UPDATE: Well folks, it appears that we are within 1/2 an hour of the first short VTA.  Should the 60-minute Zero stay below zero (not just in the red folks, but nominally below 0), we would get a short entry signal. Mole is busy compiling a list of some of our choice victims, as we are still hammering out the profit expectancy for option plays.  We plan on grabbing these guys, with some ATM options, as well as grabbing a few SPY puts, and riding it until the signal swings again.

Don’t jump the gun…The signal will be confirmed at 2:00pm EST, and should give us plenty of downside to bank some coin.

UPDATE 2:17pm EST: We are at the last SPX pivot now and I expect some tubulences. Buckle up, lift your trays and put your seat in the upright position. Berk and I will keep it clean and only dump our puts (and the future contract in the paper trade account) if we get a green signal that holds. Discipline is painful sometimes… just warning you guys early. I have seen quite some gyrations in my back testing but in the end the indicator usually won out. Of course don’t do anything that violates your own capital management rules.

UPDATE 2:37pm EST: I was tempted to cover at 888 but decided to stick with the ZTS. It’s not that I don’t trust the RLs but I didn’t use the them for the case study thus I don’t want to change my system as the tape unfolds. If we’re done dropping the Zero will let us know by going green and staying there.

I’m sure there is a way to combine both, which will lead into ZTS-RL. 2sweeties and I will have to collaborate on coming up with some rules.

UPDATE 3:38pm EST: I have to admit, I was sweating there for a while. But I held my positions and  so far so good. I will hold overnight unless I see a very strong green line up towards the end on the 30-min ZI. How are you rats faring out there?
