UPDATE 10:23am EDT: Gold has reached the convergence point I highlighted for the past few days:
It’s basically taken this all the way as this is close to my line in the sand for my GLD puts. I will actually load up a bit more here but if it breaches this line beyond a comfort margin I would recommend scaling out. But as of right now this is a great point to actually get into GLD puts – you’ve got a very clear line here and your stop can be set only a few points away.
UPDATE 10:40am EDT: EVERYBODY – since we have had an insurgence of trolls here lately I have cranked up the security measures on the site. It’s really not a big deal for regular posters with an established disqus profile but if you are relatively new you will have to confirm your disqus email address – there will be an alert box with a link when you try to make a post.
Here are also a few tips on how to deal with trolls:
- Do not respond to them.
- Do not respond to them – no matter what they say. The main goal of a troll is to disrupt a blog’s conversation – by all means necessary. Every comment they get feeds their ego and they frankly do not care about your articulate response. Their goal is to get attention and to diminish the quality of the conversation in the process. We could delve deeply into the psychology of those poor schmucks but it’s rather a waste of time as I rather go about trading and banking coin. You cannot reason with these people as they often suffer from psychological problems, so don’t even try.
- Do not acknowledge the troll by cursing back. Now you are at the troll’s level and he will take it all the way – this is what he’s here for.
- Send me an email immediately if you notice someone trolling the site – I can delete messages with one click, only takes me seconds
- If it gets too much out of hand I might invite one or two of you regulars to become editors. This will give those individuals permission to delete posts and block IP addresses which are used for abuse.
