Keep Calm
Keep Calm
I have an early appointment today so please forgive the brevity of this post. In essence your mission for the day is to parse your charting universe and then meditate on the fact that nobody in their right mind (which doesn’t include us of course) would have predicted a stronger Dollar and raging equities after a Trump victory. Which once again comes as a stark reminder that any aspirations in regards to predicting the future are utterly foolish and should remain relegated to the mental purgatory of the hapless retail victim.
I usually talk about the S&P but I should mention that the Russell 2000 hit new all time highs yesterday and seems to be heading higher.
Let’s do some campaign updates. Gold has not budged and thus there is no reason to mess with the ongoing long campaign. My stop is actually below 1200 – if that one goes it’ll probably trigger a bit of panic selling.
The Ozzie Dollar futures haven’t budged either but based on the recent pattern on the daily panel it needs to get a move on quickly or it may run the danger of falling off the plate here.
Natgas – the widow maker – my short campaign was stopped out and I’m long now as planned.
Euro futures – not an entry yet but you bet your [expletive of your choice] that I’ll be cleaning out my ATM today. Do not attempt to predict a low here, at minimum wait for a spike low on the hourly preferably followed by a retest.
