Monday Morning Briefing
Monday Morning Briefing
Welcome to our morning briefing. Here we are reviewing short term setups ahead of the NYSE opening bell. If you are a scalper or swing trader then these setups may be of interest to you. As usual keep in mind that these are short term setups although they could be used as early entries for more longer term positions.
I hope you had a relaxing weekend and ate your fruit loops this morning – it’s going to be an exciting week! Here’s gold which has been pushing sideways in the past few hours. We are getting close to the 25-hour SMA and that is the second hurdle after the current NLBL. If it breaches I want to be long.

Corn in a similar configuration and I would pursue the same strategy as over in gold.
Crude looking a bit more bearish – it’s running into the 25-hour but has not even touched the current NLBL. I’m thinking continuation here and it’s a good short with a stop above the SMA.
NZD/USD – just about to breach the 100-hour and I’m short with a stop above that NLBL (very convenient!).
AUD/USD at resistance – there’s the 25-hour SMA and a NLBL. I am thinking short with a stop above 1.0358. And yes I would flip this sucker if it makes it above.
Have fun and keep it frosty! I’m expecting some fireworks this week.
