Welcome to our morning briefing. Here we are reviewing short term setups ahead of the NYSE opening bell. If you are a scalper or swing trader then these setups may be of interest to you. As usual keep in mind that these are short term setups although they could be used as early entries for more longer term positions.
Gold is looking interesting this morning as it’s back at its diagonal support line. There is the matter of that 25-hour BB which is offering some support and frankly I would prefer a bounce here which would get us back to the 100-hour minimum. But either direction is probably good as this thing is coiling up and I’m expecting a big move here post haste.
The YM is being yummy at my hypothetical new resistance line which connects those spikes. We’re outside both BBs and I would prefer to see a little correction here before it takes off.
GBP/USD – the pound is being pounded across the FXverse again – it just can’t catch a break lately. The damage is more contained on the USD cross and perhaps that 100-hour will hold as support. If not then I expect a fast slide lower.
