Fun With Forex
Well today surely wasn’t a boring day but most of the action happened on the Forex side. As a matter of fact I have been posting short term setups throughout the day on my brand spanking new Facebook page. Yes, after years of holding out I finally caved and joined the evil empire of social suicide. Scott had suggested it as a way to expand my audience a bit.
Obviously I’ve got a lot of catching up to do and if you’re a FB addict then I would very much appreciate a visit and a few thumbs up. Perhaps even follow the page or pimp it to your friends? Unfortunately FB.com/evilspeculator was taken but that didn’t stop my evil inclinations as I thought up a pretty groovy page name:
https://www.facebook.com/despiculator
(get it? – despicable speculator – well, I thought it was funny)
Anyway, I also reserved tinyurl.com/despiculator so we should be all set.
Kevin suggested that the ‘despiculator’ sounded like an unpleasant clinical instrument. And he’s right! It’s a surgical tool used on fledgling traders when removing their hopium gland. Don’t worry – it’s less painful than it looks. And we wipe it down with Emu oil to ease the extraction process – ahem.
Any pointers in how to improve the page would be more than welcome. I’ll make sure to keep it fun but also productive. Today was a good example of some of the short term setups you may see during the session. So please don’t be shy about spreading the word! 😉
By the way – nothing will change here on the blog – business as usual and I won’t be using FB comments instead of disqus. So if you don’t want to convert to the dark force then you’ve got nothing to worry about. At least not yet – remember, if they come to get you – we don’t know each other!
Now on to today’s tape. If you gave in to emotions this morning then you just got taken for a ride. The spoos snapped back and we’re now testing an hourly NLBL which I call a solid buy with a stop below the previous low of 1758.25 – that’s the minimum we’ll need as I expect some monkey business here. Also look at the daily which dropped to the NLSL at 1751.5 where it bounced. Very nice!
The chart of the day for me was the Zero Lite which painted a beautiful bullish divergence near the lows – plus there was a tiny signal range that suggested possible monkey business. If you’re not a sub yet – well, it’s never too late!
The YM is actually a pretty bullish chart here – we need it to close above that hourly NLBL and we ought to be good to go. As you can see we have the 100-hour below us – put your stops below that one.
Alright, let’s get to the Forex setups – it’s been really hopping today:
