Textbook Entry
Textbook Entry
The July payrolls just smashed expectations (in a good way) which is quite welcome news with equities holding steady and goldbugs once again lining up at the woodshed. “Hey, no cutting in line – you’ll get your turn but be advised we are running low on water based lube.” In retrospect our long entry this Wednesday near ES 2147 is now looking textbook which I ascribe less to my amazing abilities but to the fact that I show up for work every day, especially when things are looking boring. So another 4R in the bag thanks to good ole’ discipline. Yes, some of you cats may want to take the hint
Since I took this snapshot my trail has slipped to near 2162 which is my 4R mark. Not bad for given that I was barely paying attention and actually had spent implementing a Google logging module for FractalMonger. I’ve got it running on a few 60-min and 20-min charts now and the logging module will allow us to monitor the success rate of the current settings. I’m not allowing anything that has a ratio of < 2.5:1 but we’ll have to see how that translates into live results. Maybe less alerts and a higher ratio is more beneficial – or more alerts in combination with each other. More work ahead on that front.
Which reminds me – if you haven’t signed up to my twitter feed then you should do so now. Alternatively you can grab a free FractalMonger sub at the signup page which gives you a month of email and jabber alerts.
Crude is awesome here – little dip lower just now which is nice timing. My stop is below 41.25 and if stopped out I may try again near that 100-hour SMA once it swings higher.
Alright, two super juicy setups below the fold for my intrepid subs:
