What’s a Turtle?

Alright, I decided to kick this thing into overdrive. Some of you know that Berk and I are big proponents of trend trading. There are various trend trading systems out there but one in particular stands out and has had a great influence on the both of us: The Turtle System.

Now, some of you might wonder – what the heck do turtles have to do with trend trading?

In the early 1980’s two guys named Richard Dennis and Bill Eckhart developed a unique commodities trading system that gave them explosive profits in all kinds of markets. In fact Richard Dennis started with only $400. After a few years he had banked over $200 Million dollars. No joke.

Want to know how? I thought so – and Berk and I will gently guide you into the world of trend trading and the turtles over the coming weeks and months. It might even become a separate part of EvilSpeculator sometime in the future. But for now let’s get everyone onto the same page – it will be helpful if all you rats develop a basic understanding of what trend trading is all about.
